Cartier was founded in Paris in the year 1847 and since then managed to bring remarkable jewelry and watches in the world with its great craftsmanship and durable materials. The first watch they ever created was the Santos watch, the first wristwatch with a powerful design especially made for Alberto Santos Dumont, who needed to read time while flying.
In 1917, they created the beautiful Tank collection, a collection that was made resembling Tanks and as a memory for those who served in battle. There were more than 30 models in the collection, but one that distinguished the most was the Tank Francaise watch. Some of the most notable watches included in the collection were: the Tank Americaine, the Tank Luis Cartier and the Tank Solo watches.
